THOMAS STEPHENS HANNIBAL-Services for Thomas Briscoe Stephens, 100, of 3504 Hamilton, will be 2 pm Friday at the Grand View Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Tom Sneed is in charge. Burial will be in the GrandView Burial Park. Mr. Stephens died at 3:45 am Oct. 2 at Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Palmyra. He was born March 15, 1885 in Ash, MO, to James Thomas and Jennie Briscoe Stephens. He was married to Goldie Louise Mahan September 8, 1907 in Paris, Missouri, and she died July 21, 1969. Survivors include one son, Victor M. Stephens, Fort Madison, Iowa; two daughters, Mrs. Verna M. Riley and Mrs. Vienna Currie, both of Hannibal; two grandsons; eight great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. He was a retired auto mechanic and was the oldest surviving member of the Fifth Street Baptist Church in Hannibal. Visitation will be from 7-9 pm today at the funeral home.
