Clarence Vaughn Alfred Clarence Vaughn, 80 years old, died at his home north of Goss Thursday of last week. He had been an invalid for nine years, and was confined to a wheel chair at his home. Mr. Vaughn was a son of the late William R. and Bettie Poage Vaughn and was born near Goss, where he had spent his life as a farmer and livestock producer. In 1902 he was married at Goss Methodist Church to Miss Ethel Austin. Surviving him are his widow, two sons, William A. (Jack) of Columbia, and Frank M., of La-Plata. A daughter, Edna, died in January 1904. Funeral services were held at the Speed and Blakey Funeral Home at Paris, at 2:30 Friday, with Rev. Richard Davis of the Paris Methodist Church officiating.
